Now, O’Malley has came out in his defense after Marlon Vera alleged him of quitting the fight. On a recent edition of The Timbo and Sugar Show podcast, ‘Sugar’ claimed that there was no serious damage to his ankle and he got into this problem majorly because he rolled it over seven times. He further added that one more factor behind this problem was that he had loosened up the wraps on his foot before the fight.

“Warming up in the back, everything was perfect. I’m in (expletive) good shape. I’m breaking this mother(expletive) 100 percent in my mind. I get back there, doing our warm-up, everything is going perfect. About five minutes before we’re set to walk I’m like, ‘Do you think you could (expletive) loosen up my ankle brace? It’s (expletive) tight.’ So he’s sitting back loosening up my ankle braces because they were tight. That’s about it.”

Commenting over Vera’s allegations, O’Malley claimed that in the back of his mind, he was aware that Vera was easy and too slow for him. He further stated that he had no expectations that Vera could take him down.

“Walked out, everything felt good, got in there. I was in front of him, and I’m like, in my mind, I’m like, ‘This is easy. He’s slow. He can’t hit me.’ You can’t hit me, and you can’t take me down. I didn’t think he was going to be able to take me down because he was so slow. … God, just standing there knowing I had one leg and like, ‘He still s****.’”– added Sean O’Malley.

O’Malley further added that the only thing that irritated him now was he thinks he didn’t loose. He said, “Literally the only thing that bugs me is I lost in a way where I feel like I didn’t lose, and I lost to a guy I feel like is not that good.”

He further said that he doesn’t deem Vera as a threat. He even claimed that Marlon Vera didn’t kick him on his feet contrary to Vera’s claims.
