She said, “If you just go on majors, then you have Serena,”

Martina comments on chance at US Open for Williams

In a later interview with Forbes Magazine, Martina Navratilova said that as a top-ranked player, Williams will have difficulties without crowd support.

“She likes to feed off the energy from the crowd. That won’t be there. I think that’s more of a handicap for the top players than the lower-ranked players, the crowd not being there. Bit of an equalizer”.

The US Open Grand Slam tournament begins in New York on August 31st. Serena Willams will try to get the 24th Grand slam title she has been seeking. After the title, she will beat Margaret Court’s record of the highest number of slams won.
