Serie A : Roma vs Udinese player ratings as Roma bag an easy 1-0 win

Roma traded tackles against Udinese at Stadio Olimpico in Rome for their fifth encounter of their Serie A campaign. The match was going to be a crucial one for Udinese who are finding it difficult to move up the table while Roma would be hoping to keep continuing their winning ways.

The match begun with Roma adhering their dominance over Udinese early in the match. As the match progressed, Roma showed signs of excellence as a brilliant assist by Calafiori gave Tammy Abraham a chance to open up and score. He didn’t fail as he converted the assist into a magnificent goal to give Roma the lead in the 36th minute.

Rick Karsdorp (7.4/10) : An exceptional performance in the defence by Rick. He seemed pretty quick with his feet and won some excellent tackles. He also won fair few ground duels and was confident enough to steer the ball away from the goal.

Gianluca Mancini (7.9/10) : The best defender on field for Roma. He did an all-round job at defending while also kept the ball moving around the pitch to create some good opportunities for the team.

Roger Ibañez (7/10) : Roger did a decent job at defence and also was one of the really good players at providing the long ball.

Riccardo Calafiori (7/10) : Just the 69 minutes for Riccardo. Although, he did his job well as he made a really good assist to Tammy Abraham who got the lead on the scoreline for Roma.

Bryan Cristante (7.1/10) : As good as Bryan was with winning tackles and interceptions, he failed at holding the ball with himself. He lost possession way too many times.

Jordan Veretout (7.2/10) : Made fantastic clearences while also had a 100% record in the match for giving the Long balls in. He seemed to be very neat with his passing and quick with his feet.

Nicolò Zaniolo (6.2/10) : Not a very productive game for Zaniolo. He had two off target attempts at goal while he lost the possession on numerous occasions.

Lorenzo Pellegrini (6.2/10) : The captain didn’t have the best possible day as he lost possession on as many as 16 occasions. He barely won a single ground duel out of ten attempts. In the 89th minute, he was handed a red card for foulplay.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (7.3/10) : The forward had a really good time out in the middle. Henrikh has done really good with his passing skills and also won more than half ground duels he was a part of.

Tammy Abraham (8/10) : Apart from being invincible at Ariel dules, Tammy scored the opening goal for Roma in the 36th minute and got his team the lead. A beautiful finish in the back of the net earned his team 3 crucial points.

Chris Smalling (6.5/10) : Smalling didn’t have much to do on board as he made a fair few touches. Despite his efforts, he couldn’t make an impact.

Stephan El Shaarawy (6.9/10) : Even in his last few minutes on the ground, Stephan El Shaarawy had an attempt at goal which was way off target.

Marco Silvestri (GK) (6.4/10) : It’s gotta prick when you conceded a goal in the 36th minute of the game and that’s the only goal of the match. Apart from conceding and unfortunate goal, Marco had a decent game.

Rodrigo Becão (7.5/10) : The best defender on pitch for Udinese. Rodrigo was excellent at keeping the ball away from defence as he made really good clearances and interceptions. He also was invincible at Ariel duels and ground duels. He also had an attempt at goal but was way off target.

Bram Nuytinck (6.9/10) : The captain walked into the dugout in the 79th minute replacing Lazar Samardzic. He did make some really good interceptions but couldn’t stop the ball from going into the goal.

Samir Caetano de Souza Santos (6.7/10) : Samir did a decent job playing around the field. He failed at all shots at Ariel duels while he was also struggling at winning ground duels. In the end, he did a great job at defence.

Nahuel Molina (6.5/10) : More than his succesful and positive approach towards the game, he struggled with his passing. He lost possession on too many occasions as well which affects his credibility as a player.

Roberto Pereyra (6.6/10) : Roberto did pair up really well with Molina and he did a fine job at defending as well as keeping the ball away.

Walace (7.1/10) : Walace got himself a shot at goal but he was way off target. He made valuable interceptions while he also won a fair few ground duels.

Jean-Victor Makengo (6.8/10) : Makengo found himself being fouled for as many as four times during the game. He is a capable player and had a golden chance to prove it tonight but couldn’t impact it in a great way.

Destiny Udogie (7/10) : Destiny has it all under control since the whistle blew. However, he didn’t do that well apart from a shot at goal which was way off target.

Gerard Deulofeu (6.7/10) : The striker had two on target attempts at goal but he failed to convert as the keeper denied on both occasions.

Ignacio Pussetto (6.5/10) : Ignacio missed out on a really big opportunity. He barely got to do anything for so long and he was eventually substituted. Ignacio gave his all in when it came to creating a run.
