Age is just a number, and Roger Federer is a living proof of that, in just less than a month Federer will turn 39. It started all back in 1998, where all his career began, many components helped him to win soo much and above all to continue such a long career.
How passionate and dedicated Roger is towards tennis, can be noticed from the decision that he made to undergo his knee surgery and come back 100% fine by the start of 2021. Federer has already targeted two major events that got canceled this year due to coronavirus outbreak.
In an interview by the Times in recent days, the 20 Time Grand Slam champion reiterated all his gratitude to his wife Mirka, who has been with him everywhere for almost two decades now.
“She has been wonderful in terms of support. It was amazing how easily she walked away from tennis and retired, never really tried to come back. You know what, I’d rather have helped you have an amazing career (than) me having some kind of a career and we don’t see each other and we’ll grow unhappy and maybe we’ll break up because we don’t see each other enough.” Federer said.
”We just love our time together and that’s still the case,” Federer added.
Mirka and Roger got married in the year 2009, after dating for 9 long years. Mirka, who also used to be Roger’s manager, left that role to raise their two sets of twins.
