Sheffield United To Furlough ‘Some Staff’ But Commit To Pay Them Full Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Premier League side Sheffield United on Saturday announced to furlough some employees but also announced that both permanent and casual employees will continue get the full paid because of Coronavirus Pandemic.

“Sheffield United Football Club has informed its staff of the decision to furlough some employees who are unable to perform their regular day-to-day duties at this time. These are predominantly casual employees but include a small number of permanent staff,” the club said in a statement.

“The Club confirms that permanent and casual staff will continue to be paid in full, despite the challenges of dealing with the impact of COVID-19,” it added.

As we all know many sporting events had been Postponed or cancelled and many football leagues are Postponed due to Coronavirus Pandemic.

It was already announced by Premier League that 2019-20 season will only continue, “ when it is safe and appropriate to do so”. Because health of players, management comes first.

World wide this deadly virus had taken 108,834 lives and 1,780,440 peoples are tested positive. As it is still spreading, premier league has been suspended indefinitely.
