Things in the Atletico Madrid seem to be heating up after the Spanish side face a run of poor games both in domestic as well as on the continental patch. Diego Simeone’s men are still in pole position to win the La Liga but must recuperate quickly if they are to do so.

Diego Simeone is liking Joao Felix’s rebellious celebration

Atletico Madrid registered a crucial 2-0 win over Unai Emery’s men and further strengthened their league position. Ahead of a Madrid derby against rivals Real up next this win was very much needed to give them some sort of confidence booster.

After starting out ever so strongly in the league and being miles ahead of anyone else they’ve slipped a bit but are still in a position to make amends. However it seems that there have been fights between squad members. Joao Felix scored a stunner of a goal against Villarreal only to shout ‘shut your f*cking mouth’ just after doing so.

This statement seems to be indicated to left back Renan Lodi who’s taken recent digs at the youngster about his lack of goals. But this could also be indicated to coach Diego Simeone who has singled out Felix in recent times.

Diego Simeone tried to cover up any possible bust up in the squad saying he likes to have players when they show passion after scoring.
I love it when players show pride,” said Simeone, of Felix’s fury. “How long had it been since Joao scored? If players are rebellious, give them to me!”Playing Real Madrid is something special, you want to show your ability in these games, everyone is watching and waiting to see what you can do,” said Suarez.
They are great games to play in and we have the added incentive of trying to avenge our defeat earlier in the season, we want to show why we’re top of the league.
