Halep said, “I gave everything I could at the FED Cup, it’s my dream to win the trophy, I say it’s possible, we have a strong team, we have people who are with us. To be a captain at the FED Cup one day. Not necessarily after I retire, to be a captain during my career. It would be an honour.”

Speaking about her future at the Olympics, Simona concluded saying, “My plan is to play in the 2024 Olympic Games.”
