Sports fraternity wishes Master Blaster, here are some of their tweets


In his career of 24 years, Tendulkar represented India in six World Cups and he was also the part of 2011 World Cup-Winning team. He turns 47 and sports fraternity wished him on his birthday.

Bumrah took to Twitter and said, “To a true inspiration, on the cricket field and off it, I hope you have a great day. Birthday cake @sachin_rt”.

Former Australian speedster Brett Lee also sprinkled his wishes to the star batsman.

Lee tweeted, “Happy Birthday legend @sachin_rt Even though that the battles on the cricket field have now ceased, the friendship will last forever! Stay safe mate and have a wonderful celebration.”

Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan said that Tendulkar faced every obstacle to proving his abilities and became a true inspiration to many.

“He converted every stone thrown at him into milestones, turned out to be an inspiration for millions across the globe. Happy 47th birthday @sachin_rt paaji. Thank you for giving many nostalgic moments to us fans. #HappyBirthdaySachin, ” Pathan tweeted.

However, the Maharashtra born cricketer had an amazing career while playing the game and creating several records. He made his debut in Test cricket on November 15, 1989, and also played his first ODI match on December 18 in the same year.

Tendulkar has a record of most number of runs in Test cricket, amassing 15,921 runs while scoring 51 Test centuries, most by any player.

Tendulkar also tops the list of most runs in ODI cricket as he compiled a massive 18,426 runs which includes 49 tones.
