Sports person’s praise Delhi Police, urge public to ‘Stay at Home’

Several sports personalities have come up to praised Delhi police for the work they were putting in during the lockdown and helping the public in this difficult time of a pandemic. Reportedly, Policemen are spreading awareness to the public about this virus and are also urging them to stay home and keep social distancing.

Renowned sports personalities like Harbajan Singh, Abhinav Bindra, Ishant Sharma and many others tweeted with a video message which was further retweeted by The official Twitter handel of Delhi Police.

Here are some of the messages;

Former Captain of Hockey Indian team Sardar Singh tweeted on social media that “Let’s support our government and @DelhiPolice to fight against #COVID-19 #Stayhome #staysafe”.

The Captain of Indian Cricket Team, Virat Kohli also shared a video in which he gave messages to the public and praised Delhi police for their efforts during these difficult times. “I’m very grateful to policemen who are working for the nation in this situation and helping so many people in this difficult time,” Kohli said in the video.

“I want to acknowledge the efforts of Delhi police who have not only performed their duties with absolute honesty but also taken food to the poor people on a daily basis, which is their utmost requirement. So, well done and keep putting in the same effort,” he added.

India’s only individual Olympic gold medalist, Abhinav Bindra told, “Join this fight against Coronavirus and follow lockdown rules maintain social distancing and support Delhi police as they risk their lives to protect you and your family stay home and stay safe”.

Other than sports personalities, people like Sonu Nigam, Gulshan Grover, Rajkumar Sharma, Aparshakti Khurrana, Shankar Mahadevan also posted videos while praising Delhi Police for the same
