The battle between the Big 3 players Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic is surely one of the closest battles between players, ever seen in the history of this sport. It’s impossible to find out which one is the best among these 3. Still, Stan Wawrinka manages to pick one of the remaining two.

Wawrinka and his friend Benoit Paire have been going live on Instagram regularly during this coronavirus lockdown. They talked and shared their experiences with each other, they conversed and discussed about these big three players too.

The Frenchman questioned Wawrinka on the toughest player to beat. Wawrinka gave an answer that will resonate with most tennis fans.”Rafa on clay. You won’t beat prime Federer on grass, but you’ll have a chance, you’ll lose maybe 6-4, but not 6-2 like against Rafa in the 2017 Roland Garros final. He destroyed me that day,” Wawrinka told Paire.

The star is one of the few players who has managed to record multiple wins against the ‘Big 3’. Wawrinka got lose from Djokovic once. He has yet to defeat Roger and Nadal.

In 2014, Stan was successful to win against Federer in the quarter-finals at Wimbledon championship. He also defeated Djokovic in 2014.

However, Wawrinka suffered a couple of defeats against the king of clay with an exact scoreline 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 in 2013 and 2017. Spaniard has absolutely thrashed the stan on the clay major.
