Hailing from Chennai, India’s top squash player Joshna Chinappa is once again in the top 10 PSA world rankings. This happened following World No. 1 Raneem El Welily’s retirement. The star Indian player has made India proud quite many times.
The first time was when she won the British Squash Championship in 2003 and became the first Indian to win that. In 2016 she was ranked as World No. 10 for the first time.
The ace player had once said in an interview, “I love what I do and that’s my biggest motivation as well,” as quoted by the new Indian Express. Well, it shows how playing and acing the game is her top most priority and because of her passion, she has been constantly making the country proud.
Another Indian female player to have reached that position is Dipika Pallikal. Egyptian player Nouran Gohar is now the World No. 1 after Raneem El Welily.
