Sergio Perez is a Mexican F1 driver who is commonly referred to as the ‘Mexican Minister of Defence’ or the ‘Tyre Whisperer’. Checo is another nickname that the driver is known by in the F1 paddock. He was born on 26th January 1990 in Guadalajara, Mexico. Perez is married to Carola Martinez with whom he has two offsprings.

When did Sergio Perez join Formula 1?

Sergio Perez made his F1 debut with Sauber in 2011 when he was still a part of the Ferrari Driver academy. He showed immense talent which got him a seat at McLaren. After a tough stint with them, he moved to Force India (Aston Martin) and went on to grab the occasional podium before winning his first race in Sakir 2020. He currently races for Red Bull racing.
