He is coming off a decent outing at Wimbledon, where he reached the Round of 16 before losing to Felix Auger Aliassime in a 5-set epic. He also had a brilliant outing at the French Open where he reached the semifinal, losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas. Hence it is a no brainer that Zverev is one of the strongest player in the world currently and will look to challenge Novak Djokovic this week.

Sascha was dominant in his second round match right from the start. He served very well and gave Galan no chance to break. Instead, he broke the Colombian’s serve upfront and took a decisive lead. He broke his serve once again and won the set 6-2.

The story of the second set was similar to the first. Zverev was serving perfectly and Galan found it difficult to penetrate his serve. His baseline game was too strong for the Colombian which was evident in the nature of the rallies. Eventually, with a double break’s advantage, Zverev won the set 6-2 and marched into the Round of 16.
