Being a part of the International Tennis Hall of Fame is a monumental achievement. Several top tennis stars are included in this elite group. This time around, ITHF has named giants like Ana Ivanovic, Flavia Pennetta, Cara Black, Carlos Moya for 2022 Induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

While these four stars are the new nominees, Juan Carlos Ferrero and Lisa Raymond are returning nominees in their second year on the ballot. According to the International Tennis Hall of Fame policy, a nominee can remain on the ballot for as many as three consecutive years unless voted in.

The current ITHF President Stan Smith congratulated the nominees and claimed that it is an absolute pleasure to recognize their contribution to the great game. “The six nominees named to the International Tennis Hall of Fame’s 2022 ballot have all achieved remarkable results on tennis’ biggest stages – Grand Slam titles, topping the world rankings, Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup victories,” he said.

Their successes are highlights of tennis history, and it’s a pleasure to recognize their accomplishments with the honor of International Tennis Hall of Fame nomination,” he further added. The ballot is all set and the International Tennis Hall of Fame’s Fan Voting will begin on Friday, October 15.

Fans can vote for their favorite star’s inclusion in The Hall of Fame on vote.tennisfame.com. These votes, in combination with the votes of the Official Voting Group of journalists, historians, and existing Hall of Famers will eventually give us the new set of members in the elite group.

The fan votes will make a huge difference to the overall decision as the athlete with the highest number of Fan Votes will receive three additional percentage points which will be added to votes given by the Official Voting Group. The second and third place will receive two and one additional percentage points, respectively.
