All tennis matches/tournaments have been suspended in early march die to coronavirus pandemic across the globe. It is still uncertain when the tennis tours will resume when the world is still in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

Actually, the organizers of the French Open and Italian Open are still hoping to hold to their events later this year. In September, the Organisers of the Italian Open 2020 are positive to hold the tournament.

The organizers of the Italian Open sent an update to the ticket holders about the tournament that they are hopeful of keeping the tournament in September. However, they’ll provide the confirmation about the tournament as soon as possible.

“Dear tennis friend, as you may have already read in the media, in the middle of June ATP and WTA, the two associations that manage the world tennis calendar, should communicate when and with which program the international circuit of 2020 will restart,” Italian Open organizers wrote in an email.

“The hypothesis at the moment is that the Internazionali BNL d’Italia can take place in September. But we must wait for the certainty, linked to the extraordinary situation of the Coronavirus,” the email further stated.

“We, therefore, hope to be able to give you more information on the Tournament and on the use of the tickets purchased by you as soon as possible. We hope like you to be able to return to play, to participate, and to cheer for our favorite players,” the organizers concluded.
