Matteo Berrettini reaches his 2nd successive quarter-final at the Queen’s Club as he also made it till the semi-finals in the 2019 Queen’s Club Championship. The Italian advances into the last-8 after defeating former World No. 1 Andy Murray 6-3, 6-3 who entered the tournament through a wildcard.

Berrettini continues his fine form and proves his seeding at the tournament as he defeated the local boy and crowd favourite just below the 1.5 hour mark. Berrettini will now be sighting the trophy with one eye which will be his 2nd career title on Grass, after he won the 2019 Stuttgart Open in a fantastic Grass season for the Italian.

Daniel Evans finally makes it into the quarter-finals of the Queen’s Club after 9 failed attempts. He becomes the third British to qualify for the last-8 this season at the Queen’s Club with the other two being, Cameron Norrie and Jack Draper who will be facing each other for a place in the semi-finals.

Evans defeated Adrian Mannarino 6-4, 7-6(7) in the Round of 16 to move into the quarter-finals having not dropped a single set so far. Evans was the winner in his season opener tournament at the 2021 Murray River Open and will be looking for his 2nd title of the season at the Queen’s Club in front of his home crowd.

Evans comes into the match with a season record of 16-11 and career Grass record of 83-56. He will be confident coming into the tie and with Berrettini the one to defeat Murray, Evans is sure to have some extra support from the stands as he is one of the 3 remaining Britishers at the Queen’s Club 2021.

Matteo will take the court as the favourite to win the match. His season record currently stands at 23-6 and career Grass record at 19-7. Since 2019, he has become a force to reckon on the Grass and will surely be motivated to clinch another title before the 2021 Wimbledon kicks-off.
