World No. 9 Matteo Berrettini has been sensational in the Cinch Championships. The Number 1 seeded player hasn’t lost a single set in his last three matches. He went past fellow countryman Stefano Travaglia in the first-round clash with ease. Travaglia did create a few problems for Berrettini, however, the Italian still managed to win in straight sets.

He followed that up with a sensational win against 5-time Queen’s champion Andy Murray. The Brit was stunned in straight sets by Berrettini who gave him no chance whatsoever of scripting a comeback. The Italian then went past sixth seed Dan Evans in the quarterfinals with relative ease.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Berretini has had a dream run in the Queen’s thus far. De Minaur on the other hand, had to toil hard in order to make his way into the semis. He was stretched quite a bit by Laslo Djere in the first-round clash. However, he went past John Millman in the second-round clash without much trouble.

In the quarterfinals, De Minaur had to go past Marin Cilic to make his way into the next round. After dropping the first set, the Australian made a wonderful comeback and ended up winning the contest by 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. De Minaur would have to be at his best to go past Berrettini.

Matteo Berrettini has had a wonderful season on the grass court thus far. He has defeated his opponents without dropping a set in the Queen’s Championship this time around. His confidence would be sky high and he is expected to go past Alex de Minaur without much hassle.

Although the odds are in favor of Berrettini, it wouldn’t be right to count De Minaur out of the contest. He has showcased incredible grit and determination this season and has held his nerve in tough moments. This is expected to be a nail-biter.
