Earlier today, Emma Raducanu uploaded two pictures on Instagram, with a long caption in which she thanked her fans for support, and extended gratitude to her family.
Emma Raducanu: Year at a glance
Emma Raducanu made her WTA debut at the Nottingham Open this year. Her next appearance was in the main draw of Wimbledon, where she managed to reach the fourth round, before retiring mid-match citing breathing difficulties. Post-Wimbledon, she appeared in the Silicon Valley Classics and Chicago 125 event. Her maiden WTA title came at the Flushing Meadows. She lifted the US Open title by defeating Leylah Fernandez in the finals. What was incredible was that Raducanu achieved this feat without dropping a set.
