Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard became a global sensation after delivering magical performances on the court a while back. Although she turned pro in 2009, it was her performance in the grass-court Grand Slam in 2014 which truly made her a household name.

She made her way into the finals of the Wimbledon Championships in a dramatic fashion in 2014 but wasn’t able to cross the finish line against Petra Kvitova. Nevertheless, Bouchard became one of the most marketable faces in tennis after the clash and reached a career-high ranking of No. 5.

Everything was going the right way but all of a sudden, Bouchard’s lack of form pushed her lower in the rankings. To make things worse, Bouchard sustained a serious shoulder injury earlier this year after which she was forced to undergo arthroscopic surgery.

Although Eugenie wasn’t active on the court in the recent past, she took the role of a commentator for Tennis Channel a few months back. However, her fans still wanted to see the best of her on the court, and much to their delight, the gorgeous Canadian might return to action.

Giving an update on her injury through an Instagram story, Bouchard said, “I saw the doctor last week and everything is on track and is going well, but he wants me to strengthen my shoulder a little bit more before I get back on the court.” She went on to add that things are looking good and she might return to the court in about 5 months.

Everything is still on time, so I just need a few more weeks of intense PT and strengthening and then I can finally—five months later get on the court,” she claimed. Eugenie is currently placed on the 231st position in the WTS rankings as she has missed a lot of action in the recent past. It will be interesting to see how she performs after attaining complete recovery.
