“What an incredible night”: Gorgeous Leylah Fernandez sizzles at the Sports Illustrated Awards

Leylah Fernandez has made a name for herself in a relatively young career. The 19-year-old tennis star from Canada made the headlines when she thrashed several top players to make her way into the finals of the 2021 US Open. Naomi Osaka, Aryna Sabalenka, Elina Svitolina are among those stars who were defeated by the talented teenager at Flushing Meadows.

Although Leylah couldn’t go past Emma Raducanu in the finale, her overall performance in the tournament was nothing short of magnificent. However, she has featured in just one tournament after the US Open. Leylah last appeared on court at Indian Wells where she was knocked out in the round of 16s.

Such has been Leylah’s rise to fame that in the latest list of most searched athletes in Canada, Leylah appeared on the top spot and has to admit that she thoroughly deserved it. Most recently, Leylah was spotted at the Sports Illustrated Awards wearing an amazing Ramy Brook dress.

Leylah took to Facebook to thank Sports Illustrated for inviting her to the amazing event. “What a night, Thank you Sports Illustrated, had an incredible time, and huge congrats to all the winners,” she wrote. Leylah was also spotted wearing a pair of sublime Jimmy Choo heels.

By all means, Leylah has made her country proud. After all, we don’t see a teenager doing so well in a Grand Slam very often. Her fans are eager to see her perform well in the upcoming season as well.
