Toni Nadal– the man who is living legend Rafael Nadal’s uncle and his ex-coach. The coach says that the 18-year-old teenage sensation Carlos Alcaraz has impressive potential and style of playing and in a few years will be enviable and will have a bright future.

Carlos Alcaraz is an 18-year-old Spanish player who beat Miomir Kecmanovic in the quarter-finals from a set down to win both his sets to move on to the semi-finals and then to the finals where he defeated Casper Ruud. When asked about Alcaraz, Toni Nadal had only positive things to speak about the Spanish player.

The coach says that he is impressed with the Spaniard’s performance and should he win the Miami Open series he would be the first one to do so from his country (which he did). He further adds that Carlos Alcaraz had improved both physically and mentally and that the past few matches have left the coach impressed.

When asked to comment he says, “He has become a complete player and very difficult to overwhelm. His high technical capacity is combined with an extraordinary physical condition. He has a fast and powerful game that is difficult to beat. He combines devastating blows with subtle drops and has the necessary self-confidence to dare to execute the most difficult blows in the most difficult moments.”

Toni Nadal further adds that he will evolve into a wonderful player whose play will be enviable. After all the tennis star’s journey has not been so easy to reach the finals. He went to the finals by beating Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets but both of them went to tie-breakers which is exhaustive to the player’s mental and physical capacity.

But all this only proves that the Spaniard has what it takes to win, which we saw in the finals. The grit and the determination shown on the court has already made him a fans favorite.
