Sebastian Korda continues to impress as he progresses into his 4th quarter-final of the season, this time at the Halle Open. Korda defeated Japanese veteran Kei Nishikori in the Round of 16 in what was a thrilling 2 hours 40 minutes clash with the American youngster winning the tie 2-6, 6-3, 7-5, qualifying for the quarters in his first ever appearance at the tournament.

Korda has made 2 final appearances so far on the ATP circuit apart from his title run at the Quimper 1 Challenger. Korda lost in the finals of the Delray Beach Open 2021, however won his first ever ATP title at the 2021 Parma Open before going to the French Open 2021 from where he comes to the Halle Open.

Ugo Humbert survives another tough test at the Halle Open and advances into the quarter-final in his debut at the tournament. Humbert played American Sam Querrey in the first round and later played World No. 6 and local boy Alexander Zverev in the Round of 16, defeating both of them in 3-sets to make it into the last-8.

Humbert also makes it into his 5th quarter-final of the season but has lost on 3 occasions in his previous 4 quarter-final clashes. He’s yet to win a title this season but will surely be a contender after some hard earned wins.

This will be the first ever meeting between the duo, hence the head-to-head stands at 0-0.

Korda who’s making his Grass debut in his career comes in with a season record of 23-10 and will be looking to make merry of his form on a dream start to his Grass career.

Ugo Humbert enters the match with a career Grass record of 12-7 and an overall season record of 11-13 with poor results on Hardcourts and Clay courts. He is however looking good on Grass and will be a tough challenge for the American. However, Sebastian does the look the favourite to advance into the semi-finals winning this tie.

Prediction: Sebastian Korda to win in 3-sets.
