Ronaldo Nazario is known to be one of the football’s modern day greats. The Brazilian striker’s was marred by injury, however, he is still took the world by storm when he was at his peak. In a recent interview with Bobo TV, the legend revealed his golfing experience with Rafael Nadal.

Rafael Nadal claimed his 2nd Australian Open title recently, when he defeated Daniil Medvedev in the finals in an epic five set come back. The Spaniard is known to be a huge football fan, and particularly of the Spanish club, Real Madrid. Furthermore, Nadal also once regarded Ronaldo Nazario as his favorite player ahead of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo Nazario revealed that about seven years ago, he met Rafael Nadal and they played golf together. However, he was surprised by the fact that the Spaniard had more things to speak about football, and that he would not let him a utter a word on tennis.

Ronaldo revealed that he hated watching football, and instead followed tennis closely. Hence, he expected to talk about the sport with Rafael Nadal. However, the meeting turned out exactly the opposite of what the Brazilian had thought.

“I hated football, I didn’t follow it, now I watch it every day for work even if sometimes I fall asleep,” Ronaldo Nazario said. “I’ve always liked tennis more,” said Ronaldo.

I want to tell this fact: 7 years ago I went to play golf with Rafa Nadal in Mallorca and he revealed to me that as a child he dreamed of becoming a footballer. I wanted to talk about tennis while he only talked about football and I was thinking What a bummer, let me talk about f****** tennis,” he added.

Rafael Nadal assumed the lead in the GOAT race over Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, as he claimed a record 21st major title at Australian Open 2022. Now, he looks to recover in time for Acapulco Open which will be held in two weeks time. Whether he participates or not is still uncertain, as it depends on his recovery post the Australian Open.
