Daniil Medvedev vs Pablo Carreno Busta: Preview

Pablo Carreno Busta

Top-seeded Daniil Medvedev has played like a true champion in the Mallorca Open 2021. The Russian tennis star is yet to drop a set in the tournament. He started off against Corentin Moutet in the first round and absolutely thrashed him in straight sets by 6-4, 6-2.

Next in line was Norwegian player Casper Ruud who gave a tough fight in the first set of the quarter-finals but eventually ended up on the losing side. Daniil eased into the semi-finals by defeating Ruud by 7-5, 6-1. Daniil won 87% of the first-serve points against Casper.

After an astonishing loss in the first-round of the Halle Open 2021 against Jan-Lennard Struff, Daniil has made a magnificent comeback on the grass court. Whereas Pablo Carreño Busta would also be hoping to extend his domination in the Mallorca Open.

Daniil Medvedev vs Pablo Carreno Busta: Prediction

Pablo Carreno Busta

Pablo Carreno Busta has also been in immaculate form in the Mallorca Open. His serves have been hard to handle and his attacking instincts have kept the opponents out of the game. However, he is not going to find it easy against the top-seeded Daniil Medvedev.

Daniil is clearly the favorite in the contest. He has looked comfortable on the grass court and is expected to make his way into the finals. However, Pablo would not go down without a fight. This is expected to be a nail-biter.
