“Feels good to be back”: Netizens can’t keep calm as Naomi Osaka is back on the court

Japanese tennis star Naomi Osaka took to Twitter to post a few photos which suggest that she might be back on the court sooner than expected.

Naomi Osaka has become a well-known figure in the world of tennis. She shocked the world after Serena Williams was unable to get past her in the 2018 US Open finals and then went on to win three more Grand Slams. She even started her 2021 season with a bang by winning the Australian Open.

However, post that, things only went south for the champion player. Naomi Osaka raised a few eyebrows when she decided to withdraw from the 2021 French Open mid-way. Post that, she made a comeback at the Olympics but was unable to perform as per expectations.

Osaka’s lean patch continued even further after she was knocked out in the third round of the US Open by Leylah Fernandez. Osaka then announced that she will take an indefinite break from tennis. Her fans were worried at first but got a sigh of relief when Osaka was seen enjoying a lovely vacation in Greece.

Moreover, innumerable brands roped in Osaka as the Japanese tennis star gained a lot of following for creating awareness about mental health. However, as far as WTA rankings are concerned, Osaka kept slipping and is currently ranked 13th in the world.

Her fans around the world were eager to see her back on the court and they were thrilled to see Osaka’s latest pictures where she was seen posing with a racket on the court. Osaka hinted towards making a comeback very soon as she captioned the picture, “kinda rusty but feels good to be back. I really want to say thank you everyone for all the kind messages, I really appreciate it.”
