Martina Navratilova recently took a potshot at former US President Donald Trump for his insensitive and outrageous comments on the unfortunate school shooting in Iowa.
The Republican presidential nominee made the statement merely 36 hours after the incident occurred and blatantly told the Iowan crowd to “get over” the deadly mishap that has sent shock waves to the American people.
Highly regarded for her activism for LGBTQI+ rights, Martina Navratilova slammed Trump for telling Iowans to get over the recent school shooting and further took to social media to label the latter as a “psychopath.”
It is worth noting that the shooting that took place at Perry High School on Thursday, January 4, involved a 17-year-old shooting himself after killing a sixth grader and injuring four other students and the principal.
Subsequently, the tragic mishap triggered grief and outrage among the locals and the community, further calling for stricter gun control laws to prevent the occurrence of any such incident in the future. However, the former US President downplayed the severity of the recent situation during his campaigning in Iowa and showed minimal empathy for the people affected.

Former Czech tennis professional Navratilova has frequently voiced her criticism and opposition to Donald Trump. The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion has also condemned Trump’s actions and statements on several occasions.
