Soon to be WTA’s latest mom, former World No. 1 Naomi Osaka finally answered one of the biggest questions surrounding her pregnancy- the gender of her baby. Yesterday a couple of pictures, which seemed to be from her baby shower, caught the attention of the fans. And without much difficulty, everyone found that “a little princess” is on the way.
On her first post itself, the tennis pro, dressed in white athleisure, could be seen standing in a garden decorated with pink flowers, and pink and purple balloons in front of a backdrop. And on the board, in purple color are written these words: “A Little Princess IS ON THE WAY.” In the last photo of her post, American rapper and longtime boyfriend Cordae Amari Dunston, also 25 years old, could be seen kissing the baby bump.

Osaka had announced her pregnancy in January via social media just before the start of the Australian Open. The four-time Grand Slam champions will join the likes of Serena Williams, Mandy Minella, Tatjana Maria, Kim Clijsters, Vera Zvonareva, and Patricia Maria Tig in making a comeback to competitive tennis after giving birth to daughters.

Soon-to-be dad, Cordae did not know the gender of the baby as Osaka had kept it a secret and disclosed it during a reveal party with her closest family and friends. Osaka talked to People magazine in February about Cordae not knowing the gender yet. “So it’s not like I can build out the room or anything.” Both started dating in 2019 and he had no idea that Osaka played professional tennis.
In an interview with TODAY about her motherhood, the 25-year-old talked about why she kept it a secret from him. “He knows the sex now- it was only a secret until we did the reveal party with our closest family and friends a couple months ago,” Osaka had said.
“It was hard to keep it a secret, but I also knew it would be much more fun to surprise him and everyone else during the party, so it was worth the wait.” In that same interview, Osaka talked about the excitement when her baby will watch her play when she will return to tennis in 2024.
