Rubin who is currently ranked 308 in the ATP rankings last featured on the tour at the 2021 Winston-Salem Open where he lost in the 1st round to Andy Murray after having entered the main-draw as the lucky loser. His poor rank has seen him play the qualifiers in selected tournaments which he has failed to clear.

In his tweet, Noah called Novak Djokovic as the ‘Greatest of all time’, Rafael Nadal as the ‘Most Dominant player’ and gave Roger Federer the title of ‘Best Tennis Player’. His tweet quickly gained the attention of the tennis fraternity and became another platform for the GOAT debate with fans of each player justifying the case of their favourite player.

American tennis player Christopher Eubanks asked him to stop talking tennis to which Noah had a reply already prepared. While it was the banter between the compatriots or were they calling shots on each other is not known.

Training at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in Manhattan, he was dubbed as “the most talented player we’ve come across” by the legendary John McEnroe as by the age of 7 he was already playing in the U-12 competitions. Noah had a successful junior career where he also won the 2014 Wimbledon Juniors title.

But the success did not continue when he turned Pro in 2015 at the age of 19 having failed to breach even the Top-100 rankings. His highest ranking achieved was World No. 125 in October 2018. His struggles with big injuries that sidelined him for almost years dented his progress and despite having won 4 Challenger titles from 12 finals, the American has just played 29 ATP level matches having a record of 8-21.

Apart from two first-round victories in the 2016 and 2017 Australian Open, Rubin is yet to score a win in the remaining 3 Grand Slams despite reaching the main-draw either through the qualifiers or wildcards.

The GOAT debate is never-ending as the fans of the three giants of tennis will find it difficult to agree on common grounds.
