Back To Routine: Novak Djokovic heads to the practice court after landing in Belgrade

Novak Djokovic
World No.1 Novak Djokovic was not only stopped from achieving the elusive, Calendar Slam, but the Serbian superstar was also prevented from winning his 21st Grand Slam title by World No.2 Daniil Medvedev.
After a gut-wrenching loss to the Russian, the 20-time Grand Slam is all tied with rivals Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the list of all-time Grand Slam winners list.
However, Djokovic is back in his hometown of Belgrade from New York and as per the reports, will soon be announcing his plan for the next few months. While in New York, the 34-year-old was candid about how he was unsure about playing the remaining part of the season.
“Let me tell you – I have no plan, absolutely nothing. I don’t know if I’m going to play anything, anywhere… I’m just here in New York right now,” the 34-year-old told SportKlub.
Interestingly, upon his arrival in Serbia, the top-ranked player headed straight to a nearby tennis facility and continued working on his game. Later, he was even seen obliging several fans with pictures and autographs.
While Djokovic has withdrawn from the upcoming Laver Cup in Boston, there is still no official verdict on whether he will show up on the Californian desert to play the ATP 1000 Masters event at Indian Wells. Given his dominance on the hard courts, Djokovic has won the tournament on five occasions and is the joint leader along with Roger Federer.
Novak leads ATP rankings and race

Currently, Djokovic still handsomely leads the ATP rankings, and is almost 1500 ahead of the newly crowned US Open champion Medvedev.
As far as the race to Turin for the World Tour Finals is concerned, the five-time champion has already qualified for the marquee event. Moreover, he still leads the pack in the ATP race too and is likely to finish the year as World No.1 for a record seventh time.
