Rafael Nadal turned around his fortunes this year after a potentially career-threatening injury last year. The Spaniard even expressed doubts over his future in tennis and had to undergo foot surgery, which kept him on the sidelines for the better half of last season. But in a remarkable turn of events, Nadal is back to his top form and is currently on an unbeaten streak this year while also bagging 3 titles, including a record 21st Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.

Needless to say, his fans could not have hoped for a better comeback from the Spaniard. And it was the same for a young fan named Bella. Bella is only 10 years old and might have watched only a part of Nadal’s success story, but her passion for her idol is never-ending. Bella is also a tennis player and is currently a top-100 ranked player in the U12s in Northern California. She has also even met Nadal in person. She was on the courtside during Nadal’s semi-finals match against Carlos Alcaraz and is now eagerly waiting for the title clash. On her Instagram handle, her mother posted a compilation of pictures of Bella cheering on Nadal at the Indian Wells and also meeting him.

“If you know Bella, you know how much she loves and cheers for her hero, Rafael Nadal! She has been cheering him on for the last 6 years (since she is only 10!), and he is the inspiration for her passion and dedication to this incredible sport. We have been so blessed to have the opportunity to cheer for him at the BNP Paribas Open for the past few years, and can’t wait to watch tomorrow’s incredible final! Bells is over the moon excited to watch Rafa in person and cheer as loud as she can! VAMOS RAFA!!!!!” the post read.

Nadal will square off against home favorite Taylor Fritz in the summit clash of the 2022 Indian Wells. Fritz upset 7th seed Andrey Rublev in the semi-finals, whereas Nadal defeated compatriot Carlos Alcaraz to book a place in the finals for the fourth consecutive tournament this year. Nadal will be eyeing his 37th Masters 1000 title while the American will be playing in his first Masters final. Fritz will be the underdog going into this match but will fancy his chances after Nadal played back-to-back three-setters ahead of this match and had injury concerns during his clash against Alcaraz.
