Aryna Sabalenka will be look to forget her 2nd round defeat in Berlin Open 2021 failing to win her debut match on Grass this season. She however had a successful week in Berlin winning the Doubles trophy with fellow Belarusian Victoria Azarenka while getting more practice on the surface as well heading to England for the tournaments in Eastbourne and 2021 Wimbledon.

Bernarda Pera has made a good start to the Grass season with winning both of her matches which have taken into the main draw at the tournament in Eastbourne. The 26-year old defeated fellow American Shelby Rogers in the 2nd qualifying round 7-5, 0-6, 6-0 registering her first win against Rogers.
