Serena Williams has taken a few days off from her training ahead of the French Open 2021. The 23-time Grandslam champion has been spotted at various events in the past few days. The American waved the chequered flag at the Monaco GP, and was seen in the commentary box at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, an initiative by Serena Williams’ coach, Patrick Mouratoglou

Serena Williams was in attendance with her daughter, Olympia to witness Grigor Dimitrov in action at the UTS. The duo share a close friendship with each other, as Serena cheered on his friend during his clash against Cristian Garin.

May G-force be with you: Serena Williams to Grigor Dimitrov

During the match, Serena Williams was asked by the commentator about what she thinks about Grigor Dimitrov’s game. “Well, we’re thinking about changing Dimitrov’s game to the G-force. We are excited to see, you go out there, and crush it”, Serena said.

The duo made references to movies, as Serena Williams continued with her good humor. “The Bulgarian, he was looking at the G-force, the Genuis. May G-force be with you,” added Serena. Grigor Dimitrov was asked if he had any questions for the American. “It’s so nice to be on the other end right, Serena?,” asked the Bulgarian.

Serena Williams has played two tournaments so far on clay courts. She was defeated in the second round of the Italian Open 2021 by Nadia Podoroska. She was again defeated in the second round of the Parma Challenger last week, and will hope to do well at the French Open 2021. Last year, the American had to withdraw from the French Open, after suffering an Achilles injury.
