Ever since Serena Williams became a mother a few years ago, she has often been spotted spending time with her daughter Olympia. From taking her daughter out to entertaining in various ways possible, Serena has been performing the duty of a mother to a nicety.
Yesterday, she was captured tutoring Olympia on the tennis court. The 23-Grand Slam champion was teaching her daughter some basics of forehand. Serena even mentioned in the video how her father- Richard Williams’ taught her the basics.
“You know what grandpa taught me? So first thing you do is turn,” Serena was heard saying on the tutorial video.
The 39-year-old’s father Richard is one of the very few fathers to have raised his children despite hardship. The senior Williams also coached his daughters-Serena and Venus to the very top of the women’s game, despite having no experience as a coach.
Recently, Olympia was also dressed like her mother in her miniature Australian Open attire. The post was shared by Olympia’s father which went viral on social media.
“Awwwww mannnnnn I asked you to save this post until I was next to her side my side in my same outfit Williams commented on Instagram after her husband shared photos of Olympia in her tennis gear,” Serena later wrote on her social media handle.
Serena eyeing eight Wimbledon title
After exiting in the quarterfinals of the French Open, the American will now turn her attention to 2021 Wimbledon, where she is a seven time champion. Serena first tasted success at the All England Club in 2002 and last won the Championship in 2016. The 23-time Grand Slam winner has been eyeing the record of Margaret Court, who sits on 24 Majors.
Given Serena’s skills on the grass courts and her formidable service game, she will be a major threat at Wimbledon and could win her eight title at the All England Club.
