Serena Williams has in arguably been the best female tennis player over the past two decades. The legendary American has often made headlines with her tennis and off court achievements. That said, after the birth of her first child-Olympia, Serena has also been making news with her daughter, at regular intervals.
Over the past many months, Serena has often been spotted spending time and sharing pictures with daughter Olympia. From coaching the little one basics of tennis to eating Gelatos in Rome, the former World No.1 has been playing the role of a mother to a nicety.
Recently, Serena even expressed her unconditional love for Olympia by sharing a few lines on Twitter, “There are no words I can find to describe the amount of love I have for Olympia,” Mom Serena Wrote.
Away from motherhood duties, Serena has not experienced a fruitful season on the WTA tour thus far in 2020. After making the semifinals of the Australian Open, earlier in the year, the 39-year-old got sidelined due to an injury. She only returned during the clay season in Rome, where she was shown the door prematurely.
Later in Paris, just when it appeared that the former champion was finding her groove, she got dumped in the fourth round by Elena Rybakina. Worse was to follow at 2021 Wimbledon Championships. The seven-time winner experienced an unfortunate fall on Centre Court, which led to her shocking withdrawal from the tournament, teary eyed.
Serena gave 2020 Olympics amiss
Despite, the 23-time Grand Slam being a Gold medallist at the Olympic Games in London in 2012, Serena decided to pull out of the mega event in Tokyo. Going forward, Serena will be seen in action at the upcoming Cincinnati Open and later at the US Open, where she will have yet another opportunity to equal Margaret Court’s record of 24 Slams.
Given her unimpressive time on the circuit in 2021, her ranking too her dropped to No.16.
