Frances Tiafoe has been absolutely sensational at the Vienna Open. After battling through the qualifiers, Tiafoe went past Dusan Lajovic in the opening round without much trouble. He was then set to face top-seeded Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round of 16s and what happened in that encounter was nothing short of unbelievable.

Tiafoe bamboozled Tsitsipas and moved into the quarter-finals in an emphatic style. After dropping the opening set, the American scripted a wonderful comeback and ended up winning the contest. On the other hand, Diego Schwartzman has been in great touch as well.

He started off by defeating Italian tennis star Fabio Fognini in straight sets and then went past Gael Monfils in a hard-fought round of 16s clash which went on for three sets. Monfils made a great comeback in the second set after dropping the first, but couldn’t keep his calm in the deciding set of the match.

Frances Tiafoe has been simply superb in the Vienna Open thus far. Moreover, the way he defeated Tsitsipas would have given him a lot of confidence. He will walk into the encounter as an underdog as Schwartzman clearly has a better record against him, but it won’t be a surprise if we see Tiafoe in the final four.

Prediction: Frances Tiafoe to win in three sets
