It was a disciplined performance by the Greek youngster who hit 9 aces throughout the match and conceded just a solitary break-point which Frances failed to win. On the other hand, Stefanos won 2 of the 4 break-points and hit 10 forehand winners while Frances managed only 2.
Ugo Humbert also impresses in his debut Olympic Games as he moves into the 3rd round. Miomir actually won more points, winning 102 to Ugo’s 98 but Humbert was successful in eventually winning the tie.
Humbert had defeated Spain’s Pablo Andujar in the first round and with a tough 2nd round win against Kecmanovic, he will have more clarity about his game as he will now prepare to go up against the World No. 4 Stefanos who has been in great form this season.
