Andreescu is the highest-rated Canadian player and the only Canadian player to win a Grand Slam title, which she won in the 2019 US Open.

Andreescu’s win over Serena Williams in the US Open was a historic moment. Not only did she become the first Canadian player to win a Major, but she also ended the WTA Tour’s long wait for a teen Grand Slam champion since Maria Sharapova won the 2006 Wimbledon against Williams.

Despite some great on-court performances, injuries have haunted her pulling her down. The Canadian has however refused to give up and continues to battle on aiming for more success.
