Ajla Tomljanovic has been on the tennis circuit for quite some time now and is one of the long list of players who have represented two countries on the global stage. She was born in Zagreb, Croatia on 7 May, 1993 and spent her childhood there.

Ajla began competing for Australia since the 2014 US Open, after having obtained permanent residency in Australia. For the next four years she represented Croatia at all non-Grand Slam events, until she was granted Australian citizenship in January 2018, allowing her to represent the country at all events on the WTA Tour.

In 2014, she reached the Round of 16 at the French Open, her best grand slam performance for 7 years. She achieved a career high ranking of 39 in 2019 and burst into the scenes again at Wimbledon 2021, where she reached the quarterfinals which pushed her back into the top 50 of the world.

Around 2017, Tomljanovic dated fellow Australian Nick Kyrgios but they split up. Since then, the Aussie has been dating Italian tennis star, Matteo Berrettini.

Matteo Berrettini is an Italian tennis player who has been a constant top 10 member for almost 2 years. He is known for his ‘hammer’ forehand and his best grand slam result came at the 2019 US Open where he reached the semifinal before losing to Rafael Nadal. He has 5 titles to his name, 3 on Clay and 2 on grass.

It is speculated that Berrettini and Tomljanovic have been dating for almost 2 years now. They have kept their relationship public and are seen supporting each other on court. They are constantly upload their pictures on social media and are often seen on streets spending time together when not on court.
