Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova is one of the most famous names in Russian tennis having been dubbed as a tennis prodigy in her junior years. The Russian was born on 3 July 1991 and turned Pro in 2005 at the age of 14 after having reached the summit of junior rankings. She had a 131-23 record as a junior which helped her gain main-draw entry in ITF and WTA tournaments at the age of 14.

She comes from a family of athletes with her father being a rower while her mother was a swimmer. Her brother is also a tennis player who pursued the sport professionally for a while. Even her grandparents were involved in sports with her grandmother being a professional basketball player and her grandfather an umpire in the sport. She is a right-handed player and employs a two-handed backhand.

She has maintained a nearly 60% win record on the WTA Tour and has won 12 titles across her career achieving her highest ranking of being World No. 13 which she achieved in July 2011. She also won the Gold Medal in Mixed Doubles with partner Andrey Rublev in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

While she does share a great deal about her professional and private life on her social media handles, the Russian star is currently not dating anyone and looks to be focused completely on her career. She won Junior Grand Slam titles in Girls Doubles at the 2006 Australian Open and the 2006 Wimbledon and won the Singles title at the 2006 US Open and also reaching the finals of the 2006 French Open in the Girls Doubles.

Anastasia won her first title at the 2010 Monterrey Open in Mexico and clinched 11 more titles with the latest title she won being the 2018 Strasbourg Open. Since then she has reached 3 more finals but failed to win the title which included the 2021 French Open where she lost in 3-sets to winner Barbora Krejcikova.
