Leylah Fernandez is one of the brightest talents on the WTA Tour and the teenager is just getting started. Into her 2nd full season since turning Pro, Leylah has already clinched 1 WTA title from the 2 finals she has contested in so far.
The Canadian emerged victorious at the 2021 Monterrey Open in Mexico being the youngest player in the main-draw at the age of 18 and went on to win the title without dropping a single set during her week in Mexico. After a series of mixed results, Leylah created history at the 2021 US Open.
In just her 2nd appearance in New York, Leylah defeated 3 Top-5 players on her way to the final to set up the first all-teenagers finals at the US Open since 1999 as she set the title clash with Britain’s Emma Raducanu. Leylah defeated former Grand Slam winners Naomi Osaka, Angelique Kerber, Olympic Bronze medallist Elina Svitolina and World No. 2 Aryna Sabalenka.

Leylah is currently sponsored by Asics who look after her clothing and shoes. She wears the Asics Women’s Fall Match series in her matches while using the Asics Gel Resolution 8 line of shoes. As per the surface, her shoe changes but those are the variants under the Gel Resolution 8 series.
Leylah uses the Babolat racquets and other equipments are also sponsored by Babolat. She currently uses the Babolat Pure Aero which is customised as per her need. It is the same line of the racquet that is also used by 20-time Grand Slam winner Rafael Nadal although he also has his own specifications that are taken care of by Babolat as they do for Leylah.
