Barbora Krejcikova is having a roller-coaster season this year. She reached the quarter-finals at the Grampians Trophy in Australia and improved the result at the Dubai Open 2021 where she was the runner-up. Since then she is yet to reach another quarter-finals though.

She comes to France from the WTA Italian Open 2021 where she was defeated in the Round of 16. She comes into the 2nd round in France from a 1st round victory as her opponent had to retire midway into the second set, Barbora was leading the game 6-3, 3-0 when the forceful withdrawal happened.

Caroline Garcia has not enjoyed a great season so far with early exits in her tournaments. The 27-year old French player has just one quarter-final appearance so far and will be looking to use this week for best preparation for the upcoming French Open 2021.

She comes back home from Italy at the WTA Parma Open 2021, where she achieved her season best performance reaching the quarter-finals. She comes into this tie from a straight-set victory in the first round.

Barbora Krejcikova vs Caroline Garcia : Prediction

Caroline Garcia will be the favourite in the upcoming Barbora Krejcikova vs Caroline Garcia clash.
Caroline Garcia

Barbora has failed to continued her Hardcourt form on Clay as she is currently 4-3 in the soil matches. Garcia has however looked better on Clay after she was 6-6 on Hardcourts but is now 4-2 on Clay. Both have looked in similar form but Garcia will come in the tie with better confidence from her quarter-final run last week and also her better record against Barbora.
