The Korean Zombie feels embarrassed after loss to Brian Ortega, calls himself “a fool”
“The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung and Brian “T-City” Ortega went head to head at UFC Fight Island 6. The fight between the both served as the main event. TKZ was on a 2 fight win streak while Ortega was coming from a 2-year lay off after his loss to former featherweight champion Max Holloway.
To many people’s surprise, Brian Ortega looked totally different as a fighter. The Korean Zombie lost to Ortega via unanimous decision. The fight also served as a title eliminator, which means Ortega is next up to challenge UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski.
TKZ calls himself a fool after suffering loss to Ortega
The fight between Zombie and Ortega started off with both exchanging shots. However, in the second round, Ortega caught Jung with a big spinning elbow that rocked Jung. After that moment, it was visible that Jung was not able to perform like he always does.
After the fight, Jung took to Instagram to give his reaction about the fight. He expressed himself, saying he thinks he is a fool for losing such an important fight.
“I don’t remember the third, fourth and fifth rounds”, Jung said. “I can’t remember, but it’s amazing to see how I’m fighting..haha.. I have to find out why I lost when I lose the game. Right, I’m just a fool. Ortega was so good… I just feel so embarrassed about me now. Still, thank you for supporting me a lot. I’m sorry.”
“When the fifth round was about one minute left, my mind returned. So, at the end of the fifth round, I knew if the fourth round would start. Rounds 3, 4, and 5 were just… fights. Obviously, I was expecting to be South Po, and I prepared a lot, and Eddie coach also ordered properly.. Gym left-handed players are using the technique of harassing left-handed athletes. But… haha If I play again, I want to prepare for the third round. #Now it’s really okay #I’m okay with blaming mockery #Hahaha #I’m so sorry for only one person”
This is not the first time Jung has lost an important fight that could end him getting a title shot. But for now, The Korean Zombie looks forward to analyse his performance and bounce back to the win column.
