It has been a tough year for the ace American Simone Biles and Naomi Osaka. Both opened up about their mental health issues in 2021 and were applauded all over the world for their move. Osaka pulled out from several tournaments owing to mental health issues only to return for the Tokyo Olympics where she failed to get past the second round.

Biles revealed her tryst with mental health issues at the Tokyo Games and pulled out of more than three finals. Despite that, she returned with two medals, a silver and bronze. Allyson Felix scripted history at the Tokyo Games as she bagged a record tenth Olympic medal to become the most decorated female track and field athlete in America’s history.
