Mexico will compete in the Men’s football event at Tokyo Olympics 2020 will commence on July 22nd. A total of 16 teams will compete in the event, with four teams drawn in each group. Each team will play three group stage matches. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockouts stage.
Mexico Team Preview
The Mexican side have named a 23-man squad for the upcoming edition of Tokyo Olympics 2020. The national side consists of experienced and youth players in their team. Goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa is one of the most experienced players on the side and will captain his team in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. He is their main player in between the sticks and will look to lead his team by an example for the youngsters.
The young players in the team will look to put their best foot forward and prove their mettle in Tokyo Olympics 2020. Mexico are likely expected to get through the group stage and make it to the playoffs.
Mexico will compete in Group A alongside France, South Africa and Mexico.
