The loss of top seeds Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sukamuljo to the Chinese Taipei pair meant Satwik and Chirag’s journey comes to an end despite their valiant efforts. The Indian pair lost only game in the group stage but lady luck chose to be not on their side at the quadrennial event.

In their last game, they lost to top seeds Gideon and Sukamuljo in straight sets. The Indonesian duo proved too good for the Indians who put their best forward but were no match for the world no. 1 pair.
