Japan vs Germany Match Preview

Japan has had a sorry campaign as they have failed to even win a set, let alone win a match in their previous two fixtures. Their straight set losses against Poland 0-2 (15-21, 14-21) and Italy 0-2 (19-21, 16-21) have severely dented their hopes of making it to the next round. All Japan want is a miraculous win against Germany to qualify as a ‘lucky loser’.

On the other hand, Germany has a win and a loss from it’s previous two matches. They lost a tight match against Italy 1-2 (21-19, 19-21, 13-15) in their opening match. However, the Germans bounced back in style to notch up a straight set victory against Poland 2-0 (22-20, 21-16).

Japan vs Germany Match Prediction

Japan has been a mismatch to say the least when compared with the other three teams in the group. It should be a comfortable win for Germany in straight sets which will help them to move to the second spot and directly qualify to the Round of 16 along with Italy. In all likelihood, Poland looks to finish as a ‘lucky loser’, while Japan’s campaign is looking all but over in the group stage itself.
