Tokyo Olympics Swimming Finals Live Stream: Watch Caeleb Dressel, Regan Smith, Yufei Zhang in Action on 29th July, 2021– When, Where and How to Watch

The Tokyo Olympics swimming finals will see 5 finals take place on 29th July, Day 6 of the Tokyo Olympics. 2 men’s events and 2 women’s events will take place in the morning half of the day. For the women, 200m butterfly and 4x200m freestyle relay will see and exciting finals, while for the men the 200m breaststroke, 100m freestyle and 800m freestyle will take place. 

USA and Australia are neck and neck with each other, both winning 4 gold medals and many silver and bronze medals till now. Great Britain, Japan and China are also having a great campaign in swimming with winning gold and silver medals in several events.

Tokyo Olympics Swimming Finals: Preview

In the Tokyo Olympics swimming finals of women’s 200m butterfly, China’s Yufei Zhang, the silver medallist from the 100m butterfly, qualified the fastest, over 1.5s ahead of everybody. She will be a favourite to win a medal, hopefully bettering her feat from her previous race. USA’s Regan Smith and Hali Flickinger will also be looking to finish on the podium.

The women’s 4200m freestyle relay will see Australia in the fastest lane, qualifying 3 seconds ahead of USA, second place finishers and Australia’s arch rivals. Canada, China and ROC will also be in the mix to finish on the podium in the event.

The fast paced men’s 100m freestyle finals will have ROC’s Kliment Kolesnikov starting off in lane 4, with USA’s favourite and most experienced, Caeleb Dressel starting in the fifth lane. Australia’s Kyle Chalmers had a slow qualification but will be looking to capitalise and finish on the podium.

The 200m breaststroke will be an interesting finals, as Australia’s Izaac Stubbley-Cook will have the fastest qualification time going into the finals. Second, third and fourth place are all separated by just 1/100th of a second, with Great Britain’s Wilby James, Nethrland’s Arno Kamminga and USA’s Nic Fink vying for a top spot.

Finally, the men’s 800m freestyle event will feature the newest Olympic record holder Mykhailo Romanchuk take centre stage, hoping to finish first. USA’s Robert Finke, Austria’s Felix Auboeck and Australia’s Jack McLoughlin will be giving Romanchuk tough competition.
