Frank Lampard was brought in by Chelsea at the start of the 2019 season as a replacement to the outgoing Italian coach Maurizio Sarri who went to on to Juventus.
After coaching just Derby County in the premiership, it was always a risky decision to get a new manager. However the club backed Lampard and appointed him.
Tony Cascarino heavily criticised Frank Lampard
Former Chelsea FC player Tony Cascarino believes that although Frank Lampard was a winner and a fighter as a pitch, he’s not the same as a manager and think Chelsea won’t prosper under him.
It’s true that Frank Lampard’s tactics aren’t exactly perfect and have come under the radar of pundits with his line ups being questioned and his inability to read the game and make the substitutions.
