Gael Monfils went up against Argentine Diego Schwartzman and in the middle of a volley while trying to return a shot, Monfils’ racquet slipped out of his hand and he was left barehanded but still returned the shot with his hand cheekily while grinning. Monfils and Schwartzman grinned and hugged while the crowd laughed and applauded.

In a funny turn of events, Djokovic upon his victory in Rome took a jab at the press who were quick to point out his age and said that the Big 3 is reinventing the term next-gen. The Big 3 (Nadal, Djokovic, and Federer) form the trio who hold the most Grand Slams.

“The Next Gen young people? Me, Rafa (Nadal) and Roger (Federer) are reinventing the Next Gen. We are the Next Gen,” Djokovic said. “Of course the Next Gen is there, is coming, whatever. But here we are still winning the biggest tournaments and Slams.” said Djokovic as a nearby sitting Nadal Grinned and the audience cheered.

Tiafoe, known to be pretty humorous, pulled out a middle finger jab at his opponent when he was unable to return a drop shot.
