Find out: The Top 8 seeds at the Serbia Open 2021

The ATP Tour returns to Belgrade for the first time since 2012 with the Serbia Open at the Novak Tennis Center. The world-class facility, where World No.1 Novak Djokovic regularly trains, boasts 14 tennis courts, including 11 clay and three hard courts.

The tournament will be held from 19th-25th April 2021. World No.1 Novak Djokovic will headline the event in his hometown. Apart from Djokovic, other top players in Belgrade this week event will include Italy’s Matteo Berrettini as well as Russian sensation Aslan Karatsev.

The tournament is organised by the 33-year-old’s family with his younger brother Djordje acting as director. The Serbian capital stepped in, relaunching the Serbia Open after a nine-year hiatus, after Budapest withdrew from organising a tournament.

Novak Djokovic and Matteo Berrettini

Usually, Novak Djokovic due to his tight schedule doesn’t play many ATP 250 events but he just couldn’t miss the Serbia Open at his own Tennis center because of the hometown connection. He goes in as the top seed at the event.

World No.10 Matteo Berrettini is the second seed and will headline the bottom half of the draw. Serbians Dusan Lajovic, Filip Krajinovic and Miomir Kecmanovic are the 4th, 5th and 8th seed respectively.

Australian Open semi-finalist Aslan Karatsev is the third seed at the tournament while Australian John Millman has been seeded 7th. Initially, Marton Fucsovics was the 6th seed but after his withdrawal, Laslo Djere replaces him as the 9th seed.
